Is this the same Bounty Killer who in and out of court with one abuse charge after another?

Well, Reports are that the troubled dancehall DJ is set to join forces with the UNiTE campaign to end violence against women.

From what we understands under this campaign, the UN collaborates with influential individuals which include entertainers who will assist with their mission to put an end to violence against women in all its forms.

Bounty Killer who has been dragged in the news about numerous accusations of domestic abuse involving a few women was unable to confirm his participation with UNiTE’s campaign.

Bounty Killer is to return to court on November 9 to answer charges regarding his most recent domestic abuse case. While on November 8 the deejay is to face charges for ganja possession.

Hike in flour!! Lawd Gad !!! Again??!!!

The price gone up! That is the song Jamaicans will be singing when it comes on to a lot of food items. With chicken meat price sent to be increased by as much as 10%, flour is hot on its heels, and you know that will automatically reflect on all baked products.

Increases in the price of wheat on the global market have forced the Jamaica Flour Mills to announce a hike in the price of flour effective Monday, October 18.

"There is to be a movement in the price of flour upwards from a low of just under 12% for bakery and just under 18% for counter flour," Derick Nembhard, General Manager of the Jamaica Flour Mills said on Thursday.

The price of baked products is expected to go up as well.

Already the Consumer Affairs Commission says its calculations suggest that the price of baked products such as bread and water crackers will increase by an average 6 to 8%.

Nembhard added that this increase will be last for the rest of the year.

"All things being equal, we do not expect there to be any further adjustment for the rest of the year. However, that only takes us to the end of the year and the way prices are rising right now, we expect slightly higher prices in January and February," he said.

Feb 2011 trial date for Rev Al Miller..

A February 2011 trial date has been set for Rev Al Miller in whose company extradited fugitive Christopher 'Dudus' Coke was found when he was arrested.

The February 1 date was set yesterday when Rev Miller appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court. His bail was extended.

He is to face charges of harbouring a fugitive and attempting to pervert the course of justice. He and Coke were travelling along the Mandela Highway in St Catherine in June when they were stopped by a police team who had them under surveillance.

Miller claimed he was taking Coke to the United States Embassy in Liguanea, St Andrew but the police said that, based on their investigations, no arrangement had been made with the embassy to accept Coke.

The reverend, who has maintained his innocence, was responsible for the handing over of Coke's younger brother Leighton 'Livety' Coke to the police.

48 persons detained, Bushmaster rifle seized as police clean up downtown....

Some 48 persons have been detained and a Bushmaster rifle seized in the downtown market district and West Kingston area following a flare up of violence and a police operation which saw several stalls being destroyed and over 300 illegal connections dismantled.

The police operation to clean up downtown by demolishing vending stall illegally placed in the area, was put into effect at 1:00 am Thursday morning, the same time a curfew blanketed nearby Denham and Hannah Town.

By 4:00 am when the Heywood Street stall owners started emerging, it was clear that it would be an ugly day.

They reacted when they saw that what was once their livelihood had been reduced to rubble. Vendors complained of losses in the hundreds of thousands of dollars said they were not “illegal” as they had paid their fees of $2,500 to register and $500 weekly for market fees. Many said they were not informed of the planned clean-up. However, the police say notices had been sent out.

Amidst a strong police presence, vendors who sell on West Queen and Princess Streets decided to march to the offices of the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation (KSAC), but the cops would have none of it. In between strong words of condemnation for Prime Minister Bruce Golding (Bruce ginnal we”) and Mayor of Kingston Desmond McKenzie, they then decided that the storeowners should not be allowed to open their shops either. The displaced vendors started banging on shutters shouting “no vendors, no store”. The police again intervened.
The Constabulary Communication Network says the police estimated that about 10 tonnes of debris and other material were cleared from the streets. Jamaica Public Service Company work crews also disconnected 330 illegal connections.

Meanwhile, the vendors, who have been demanding to know where they will be placed, are to meet with Mayor Desmond McKenzie at noon today at the offices of the KSAC.

McKenzie is reported as saying that he was not a part of the early planning of the clean-up operation.

The curfew remains in effect unti Saturday morning. The boundaries of the curfew are:
NORTH along Asquith Street on to Studley Park Road between East and Slipe Pen roads
SOUTH along Barry Street from Darling Street to Church Street
EAST along Slipe Pen Road on to North Street to Church Street continue to Barry Street
WEST along Darling Street on to Spanish Town Road continue on to Little King Street to East Road.

Buju gets personal on 'Before the Dawn'...

Buju Banton - File Album: Before the Dawn
Artiste: Buju Banton
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Genre: Reggae

'Before the Dawn' is a short dose of positivity from the incarcerated deejay Buju Banton. The 10-track work is the ninth studio album from the 'Gargamel' released during his ongoing drug trial.
In an interview, Banton explained that the 10 tracks, which were released in Europe on October 1, were written before he found himself in his current situation with the law. He told Hip-Hop Weekly magazine: "All the songs on this album were written before I and I found I self in this current situation, yet they all speak profoundly to what I and I am going through right now ... You might can lock up the flesh but you can never lock up the spirit of Rasta."
Since its debut, the album has topped the iTunes Reggae Album charts, proving Banton still has his magical touch. The follow-up to his 2009 Rasta Got Soul album, Before the Dawn is much shorter in terms of the number of tracks that are usually in Banton's catalogue. The album also came much quicker than most expected, as the deejay usually spends years working on his material.

A primarily upbeat album in terms of the rhythms used, Banton tackles a lot of emotional and social issues.
Starting off with Can't Go, Banton talks about rastas being present at different places and events such as the White House where, as he sings, the Rasta makes the security look like 'Mickey Mouse'. Another powerful track, Bondage, talks about the struggles of life as Banton sings, "watch what you doing wid my people/ tears in my eyes could not hold any more/ Cry like a child that has lost his way home/ longing to go to that place where I'm from/ they got I in bondage."
Life seems to be a very personal song, as he sings, "Mark protect your soul don't let dem take it/ the wheel of evil keeps on turning."
No Smoking At All has a rock vibe, while in Innocent, he sings, "Jah Know I'm innocent ... I've been badly singled out by beloved friends and brethren's that sold me out."

Overall ,Before the Dawn isn't a bad album, but lacks the stand- out hits typical for the artiste.
Track Listing:
1. Rasta Can't Go
2. In the Air
3. Do Good
4. Battered & Bruised
5. Bondage

YES BUJU!!! WE HAPPY!!!

Buju Banton - File

After being locked away in a US jail for ten months, reggae artiste Buju Banton was finally offered bail yesterday, making his friends, well-wishers and fans extremely happy.

Yesterday, United States judge Anthony Porcelli offered bail to the artiste, whose real name is Mark Myrie.
However, bail was granted at US$250,000 (J$21,375,000) and under strict conditions. Porcelli also ordered that Banton be placed under 24-hour surveillance, the cost being incurred by the defence and it will also have to be approved by the court. He will also have to wear an electronic monitor and undergo drug testing. He will also have to receive an immigration bond to prevent deportation, as his US visa had been revoked.
Despite the conditions of bail, Banton's close friend, Spragga Benz is ready and raring to go see the artiste who has been incarcerated since December last year.

"I am feeling elated. Mi feel good. A lot of the prayers were answered. Give thanks to the Most High for showing that he still listens to our prayers. Mi just glad seh it a work out. Thanks to those who support him throughout," he said.

While pleased that he was offered bail, Banton's former mentor Donovan Germain was far from blown over by the conditions under which it was granted.
"I am happy that he is given the opportunity for bail even though the conditions are a bit ridiculous to me," he said.

stipulations
He added that he hopes some of the stipulations are removed when Banton's lawyer goes back to court on the matter.
Like Germain and Spragga Benz, popular entertainment figure and executive vice-president of 21st-Hapilos, Johnny Wonder, said he is extremely pleased that Banton was offered bail.
"Me and everyone at 21st-Hapilos & Hapilos International are excited for Buju that he was offered bail. We are waiting patiently on what the outcome will be. Hopefully, he will be exonerated of these alleged charges and be allowed to go back to family and children and return to making the music we all know and love. Bless up Gargamel," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.

When contacted, Banton's lead attorney, David Markus said the bail offer was "a positive development", even though he did not indicate whether Banton would be able to meet all the conditions.
Marc Seitles, another member of Banton's legal team, said the entertainer would "essentially be under house arrest" if he is able to satisfy the bail conditions. He said that this means the artiste would only be able to leave his Florida home to buy medications, attend court-ordered hearings or for meetings with his attorneys

On October 6, the judge heard arguments from the US prosecution as well as Buju's lawyers and reserved his judgement.
Banton's lawyer had filed the motion for a bail hearing on September 27, after federal judge, James Moody declared a mistrial in the drug case against Buju. The ruling was made after the 12-member jury was unable to reach a unanimous decision in the case.

The judge says a new trial is to be held in December on a date to be announced.

YES SPICE!! U FINALLY ANNOUNCE IT!!!

A very pregnant Spice alongside fiancé Nicholas Lall and with her son. - Kyle McPherson

Deejay Spice, at more than five months pregnant, is glowingly anticipating the birth of her second child with fiancĂ© Nicholas Lall.

Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR, the deejay said her second pregnancy was an unexpected one. She said, "it wasn't planned but I'm happy. Pregnancy is a gift from God, I didn't think I'd have any kids and here I am. This time around I'm keeping the sex of the baby as a surprise for us, its always fun to be guessing and having everyone guess what its going to be."

Already sharing a son, three-year old Nicholas Lall Jr, both Spice, real name Grace Hamilton, and her fiancee are hoping for a girl. Having recently shot the video for her single Jim Screechy while four months pregnant, not much suspicion was raised, and so Spice decided to keep her pregnancy out of the spotlight for as long as possible.

"Basically I'm trying to keep my private life on the low. The Jim Screechy song had just gotten out there and people were talking about it so I didn't want my pregnant to overshadow Spice as the artiste. Now people have been calling me saying they've been hearing the pregnancy rumours and I don't want to keep my fans in the dark any longer," she explained.

missing events
While Spice worked right through her first pregnancy, this time around she plans to 'take it easy'. She will not be taking any shows and will be missing events such as Sting in December. For the deejay, she will miss being on stage but is still as motivated as ever to not only achieve more success as a deejay but in her businesses like her store Spicey Couture, her Spicey Salon and her bar 8 Ball.
Having a lot on the table, Spice says its with the support of her fiancee and family that she manages to juggle it all. She said, "I have a really good support system, my fiancee is fabulous in terms of taking care of Nicholas (Jr). My sister and mom is always there as well."

As for plans for her wedding, Spice says that will have to wait until next year after the birth of her baby. "My fiancee he can't wait for it to happen more than ever but I insist on waiting till after the birth of this child," she said. The two have been together for four years and got officially engaged last year.

As for rumours that the two have been on rocky terms she said, "people say we're apart cause of a crazy comment I made on Facebook but yuh know every relationship has its ups and downs, but yes we're happy. The good thing is that when we have our differences we mend it easily, we can't live widdout each other."
Coming soon for Spice are singles such as Tell Me Why and Official Girl with rapper Jay Young.

TOP TEN RULES FOR A ONE NIGHT STAND.......

Top 10 Rules for One Night Stand
“I’m always looking for meaningful one-night stands.”Dudley Moore. If you are looking for one-night stands that are fun and not gonna lead to a relationship,
here are the rules you must follow!

1. ALWAYS have Condoms with you:You will feel kinda stupid, huh? All that time to convince her, and now….NOTHING! Don’t even think about sleeping with the person without protection. You don’t want to RISK your life for a few hours (if you’re lucky) of pleasure!

2. Do NOT give them your phone number:
The last think you need is a stalker on your back! You need to be fast and sneaky! The less you know about this person (and the less they know about you!) the better one night stand you will make.

3. They MUST be a stranger:
Well don’t mess with your friends! It will become more complicated in case you or the other one starts to have feelings.

4. Do NOT be drunk:
You don’t have to care if he or she is drunk, but you don’t have to be! Have you ever seen how an ugly face transforms into a beautiful one with a fifth of vodka?

5. Do NOT go to your place:
Are you insane? All that time you’ve been trying to hide by not giving your phone number, and you bring your flirt to your place? Wrong! A nice hotel will do the trick, if you like it outdoors, also not a problem. Just don’t go to some place familiar! There is a chance that you will never get rid of them afterwards.

6. Do NOT use your car:
A car is like a symbol! He or she will never forget it! You don’t want every time you’re parked outside a restaurant with someone else to see that person again running towards you! You are too old to be hiding under tables!

7. Do NOT eat anything weird before:
You want to spend some time with that person; not with the porcelain altar! So be careful of your choices. A good salad (without onions or garlic) will do great for that day. Remember: flatulence is NOT a turn-on.

8. Do NOT fall asleep:
You may awake and see an ugly face staring at you. Or even worst, a table full of breakfast ready for both of you to enjoy… Your identity will be exposed, since you were sleeping like a pig and he or she was searching through your stuff! You will also realize that this one night stand might have been a mistake, after all… so be sneaky: do your ninja moves, try to leave the place without anyone noticing.

9. Do NOT leave any tracks:
Be sure that you won’t leave anything behind when you leave! A T-shirt, a lighter, a pair of gloves, even your used protection will be enough for the other person to search the entire world to find you! Anything you will forget might be used against you – learn from all those CSI episodes you’ve spent so much time on!

10. Do NOT kiss them when you leave:
In case that you failed to do something of the above, this would be one huge mistake! That would mean something more than a simple One Night Stand!
So people enjoy your single status, follow the rules, have fun and be happy!

NOW DIS A WEH YUH CALL A SEXUAL MIND !!! LMAOOOO
